This Refund Policy applies to Users who have registered and made payments to Academ-ED and not applicable for anybody else.
If you are considering, or have decided to withdraw entirely from Academ-ED, you will need to know how this will affect your fees paid so far. This policy provides essential information on fee refunds.
Method of Calculation of Refunds
Refunds are made only for the Course fees. Registration or any other fees or payments are not refundable.
Tuition fees will not be refunded in the following instances:
⦁ The withdrawal of a unit or module does not of itself constitute grounds for a refund. Fees typically cover the provision of study material, academic support and other services provided by Academ-ED. Whilst there may be occasions when Users may not be able to access some modules, it may not be considered as a valid reason for refunding, please contact the firstname.lastname@example.org, if you consider that you are entitled to a refund.
Users who have paid Course fee in full by one time payment
⦁ Course fee is divided equally for number of prescribed Modules of the Course. Modules already completed, partly completed or started already are not refundable. 75% of fees of remaining modules are refundable.
Users who have paid in instalments
⦁ Instalment is divided into equal amounts for the number of Modules covered by the instalment. Modules already completed, partly completed or started already are not refundable. 75% of fees of remaining modules for the instalment are refundable.
Users who have paid for individual Modules
⦁ Fees are not refundable.
Grounds for Refunds
Course fees will be normally refunded in the following instances:
⦁ User withdrawal from the course (either by the User or initiated by Academ-ED).
⦁ Inactivity in the prescribed Course activities for a period of 6 months or more without the consent of Academ-ED.
⦁ User decides and enrols into another Course in Academ-ED.
How Refunds are Applied
If fees were paid by Debit/Credit Card or a Direct Bank Transfer, the refund will be made to the same account. If you change your course or if there is any other kind of interruption to your studies, and you need to know how this policy will affect you, please email the email@example.com.
The method of refund will be determined by the amount of fees paid and owed up to the point of application of refund and as applicable under Clauses 1 and 2 listed above.
